Lifestyle. Wellness. Creativity.
So often we can be in such a hurry we forget about what others might want or need. There is little holding our attention beyond the distraction of our to do lists and the complexity of our lives. Goodness knows it gets busy.
Sometimes we forget that there are others we encounter who may need us. I don't mean those who need you to get them to school on time, or cook dinner, of those who expect their weekly phone calls, in fact I"m not even speaking of the ones who know and love you at all. I'm speaking of the person you have never met who is walking down the street toward you with the weight of the world on their shoulders.
There are many who have no one they can turn to, who feel lost, alone and scared. Many how have lost and don't know what to do. Many who you would call a stranger, who need to know they still matter. Many who have a story we will probably never hear, and who by the grace of God could be anyone of us.
So, when you are running the umpteenth errand and trying to get to your next location on time, remember to stop, take a breath, look around you and notice that person who seems trapped in the shadows. Take a few seconds out of your day to see them, smile at them, even say hello. They may not reply, they may be too surprised, but that doesn't matter. Take a moment to shared a connection with someone you've never met and will probably never see again and know you have just been of service in a life changing way.
Just a thought
