Conscious Corner... The Moment/Future...

The art of being in the moment is one that we all appear to be in search of.  It is one that is elusive and wouldn't it be nice if we could understand what it really meant?  for instance, living in the moment is a reality as that it is all that we have access too, however...  There is also a future that deserves attention, otherwise how do we know where we are going? To live entirely in the moment is to deny that we are on a path and it is headed somewhere and that it is best for us to have some…See More

Conscious Corner... Taking Action

Sometimes it's all too easy to have the thought, but then no take any action to support it.  In fact as I've learned through working with 100s of people, it is the #1 reason things don't get done!Is every thought deserving of action?  No, probably not, but that is not really what I'm talking about.  I'm talking about the big thoughts, the growth thoughts, the challenging thoughts...  The ones that if you took action could not only change your life, but others as well!!!Action takes the fodder…See More

Conscious Corner... Be What You Choose to See in the World

All to often we don't realize the effect everything we do has on everyone around us.  That may sound really big, but when you think about it, it is also the way it is, whether we like it or not.  To think someone in your presence is not effected by your energy is to deny the way we function as human beings. To accept and embrace this could be a life changing choice for any one of us.  Just imagine would it would be like to merely ask yourself at any given time, "who am I being"?  And, imagine…See More

Conscious Corner... Break-time Part Three

Break-time is a five-minute walk around the block time.  It’s date night, it’s reading your kids a bedtime story – even if it’s on Skype - and it’s getting together with friends and laughing.  Establishing a pattern of valuing yourself and the other things that are important in your life is setting you up for a real win because it insures that those things closet to you are part of the picture and not part of your past. This does not mean that you won’t have to say “no” sometimes to…See More

Conscious Corner... Break-time Part Two

Work-a-holism is not the key to success.  Sure it can bring you results, but I will guarantee you that it will come at a price.  How many stories have we all heard about the successful tycoon getting married for the fifth time and the estranged relationships they have with their children from their previous marriages?  It’s a common story and a sad one. If you want success, true whole life /whole wealth success, which in my humble opinion is the only one that counts, then having perspective on…See More

Conscious Corner... Break-time Part One.

The reality of working for yourself, or founding a vision, following a dream or having the guts to pursue your passion, is that you will be dedicated if you truly want results. Dedication is the most essential ingredient and it fuels persistency and consistency.  The problem you can encounter when on this path is the fine line between dedication and obsession.  Obsession put another way is work-a-holism.  Yes, you will work hard, but by working hard I am referring to working in a focused and on…See More

Conscious Corner... The Unexpected Part One

Wherever you are, life happens.  Every decision, every occurrence, every aspect of life, include things that are anticipated and also absolutely unexpected and indeed the one thing you can count on is the unexpected happening, ironic though that may be!When you are making choices that affect your very livelihood, the unexpected can become the very thing that holds you back.  This is not good. Anything that can stand between where you are and where you want to be is something to be addressed. It…See More

Conscious Corner... Clearing the Fog Part Three

Remembering that you have dreams, desires, and a purpose that longs to be expressed is essential to living a life that is truly fulfilled.  Daring to dream however is something you may have stopped along the way as so many have done before you.  The opportunity today is to make a decision to invite those dreams back into your life. How do you do this?  It’s simple.  Ask yourself a question, “It money weren’t an issue what would I be doing?”  That will tap you into some creative juice and get…See More

Conscious Corner...Clearing the Fog Part Two.

It’s not like the dreams, goals, ambitions or targets you once had have actually disappeared, no, they are still with you, however, you may be unable to access them.  That’s because they’ve been fogged in for so long you’ve literally forgotten what they look like.  In some cases you may have forgotten them entirely, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there, waiting for you to remember. Nature clears fog out, for the most part, by burning it off!  Direct sunlight shines upon it and it…See More

Conscious Corner...Clearing the Fog Part One.

With so much going on, endlessly, (it never ends does it?) and everything that pushes, pulls and demands your time, at some point you take your eyes of the prize.  Not to let go of it, by no means, but to pay attention to the various things that are unfolding all around you.  It often takes longer then anticipated to deal with situations and other unexpected things also show up that continue to derail any and all well laid plans.   The once well-charted horizon that promised great success ahead…See More

Conscious Corner... New Beginnings...

What does it mean to be in a place of new beginnings? It can be very scary, in fact it can get so scary that fear could override action and suddenly instead of growing we end up stopping and settling for something less then our passion.  Playing it safe is what I’m talking about and when we are in a place of new beginnings playing it safe is only selling ourselves short of the life we truly deserve. Understand that playing it safe is the way of the world.  Loved ones and those who have gone…See More

Thank you so much. However we already purchased tickets. My daughter and I enjoyed tonight so much--the movie, the panel, and the questions.  It was wonderfully stimulating food for thought. We left engaged in endless conversation.
