Greek Tragedy; Fate or Create?

Ode to Oedipus by Irene Teesdale,

Hard times had befallen Thebes the city,

Oedipus the king rapt with…

Finding My Voice

When I was a child, I felt invisible. Everyone seemed to talk over me as if I had said nothing. For many years I thought that others found what I had to say as not worth acknowledging. When I was a pre-teen, someone commented on what a soft sweet voice I had and that is when I realized it was not what I was saying but how. So I worked at being heard and speaking up. This presented a whole new problem; I didn’t like my own voice. It grated on me. My mother was always whacking me in the back…

Hello Irene, Sounds like you get to travel, how wonderful. I love what I do too. I have over 30 years as a pioneer in the fitness industry so I have grown with many changes. Two years ago I completed a very intense 3 year training called Somatic Experiencing ( by Peter Levine, Waking the Tiger). It is a naturalistic approach to trauma. I am also an intuitive. I see or sense the energy in each of my clients which gives me insight to dig into my bag of education (knowledge as well as from the unordinary knowledge) and I create a custom designed program. I have been working with veterans with PTSD and I personal train clients in a small local fitness facility. We work much with where in the body and what kind of feelings are being experienced and focus on expanding the good ones. It is fun to see the light turn on and the peaceful face at the end of each class. I love it. Where do you go on your journeys, what is your technique? Are you going to Circles of LIght, I hope to meet many Conscious Nashville folks while there. Chris
